Who’s Who 8: April Fay has been coming to CrossFit Regina for almost one year now. Whether you see her at a 6am or 6pm class, she always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude! Learn more about April HERE.
Picture: April is shown doing Kettlebell Swings (L) and Skin the Cat (R).

I love whose who.
April, it is NOT an insane fear. I have it too. When I do box jumps, my life flashes before my eyes and I see visions of my shins and face all bloodied up from tripping. Also, I have been known to “out” my shoulder on them as I flail for survival.
Great Who’s Who April…..you have done so well and come so far this year!!! Congrats!!
Thanks ladies! This morning I used the small box with a 45 lb plate on top of it…helps with the life flashing before my eyes, Ferrah!
Kind of cool to read about the folks I never get to see in the gym. Lots of folks are terrified of box jumps!
Great job April, you’re very inspiring. I forgot about adding the plate to the small box…smart!
A) Done as pull ups 15 – small purple band
B) Short box jumps, 35lb. kettle bell, etc…7:42min.
Then watched Kim Fe kill Annie – super fast after two RX’d workouts done right before.
If you read closely, April describes herself as “compassionate”, yet laughs at me when I am doubled up in pain. To her credit, when there was stitches involved, she seemed very concerned, and only a snicker on the way to the hospital.
You gals have amazing visions of box jump
Subbed PS @95 for box J’s 6:33.
Kim Fe didn’t just kill Annie, she got a new female gym record with 6:43! Way to go girl!
Part A) Rx’d, love Rope Climbs
Part B) Uber Rx’d with 45lb KB in 7:41, Bell Swings were unbroken, my issue as always is the Push-ups… which felt extra hard after 50 Burpees!!
wimped out on the rope climbs due to torn hands.
Part B) as rx’d in 9:14 with all box jumps as jumping on and off the box – something I’ve been working on!
Great to see some old faces back again after “taking the summer off”
and – April you are fantastic! I love working out with you and coaching you! Remind me to show you some tricks to help with those box jumps.

Hi all: Today is exactly one month until the Saskatoon fall CrossFit Challenge! There are 10 of us signed up so far, and I’d love to see more of you take the plunge! I can’t emphasize enough what a great experience it is to be involved in something like this. ANY fitness level can compete as they have 3 different divisions to enter. It really is worth it, no matter what the results are! Let me know if you have any questions about it.
See the CFS website here: http://www.crossfitsaskatoon.ca/challenge
Thank Berni and Robin, my previous Annie time was 22 minutes and change!
Way to go, Kim Fe!!!
Rope climbs and burpees were good times.
Metcon (55lb bell swings) in 4:52 as rx’d
