“Team Murphie“
In teams of 4:
1 mile run w/ball
200 Pull-ups
300 Push-ups
400 Squats
Repeat 1 mile run w/ball
Coach’s notes: For each 1 mile run, your team has to carry one medicine ball, alternating as you all run together, can be modified to 1KM run; for the calisthenic work, accumulate the numbers with 2 working at a time; Finish all 200 pull-ups before moving on to push-ups, etc. Compare to 080412. *You may do individual “Murph” if you want.
Post team time to comments.
Picture = Synchronized Rowing? L to R: Shannon L, Melissa, Angela C, Mandy *This was the day we were rowing for distance, and not for time.
Overheard at CFR: 4 year old Josie to Kurt after Rx’d Murph: “You better have a rest!”
Wall Ball Challenge = 23 Wall Ball
I wish that I could do this with everyone tomorrow. Too bad I am resting my PLU's and Push-ups. But I will be there to coach. If these numbers scare you, don't let them. We will scale or work as a team. You can go to the FAQ and read about this workout. Some gym have a "Murph" day every year as a tribute to the fallen.
If you are in the CF and have Body Armor that you would like to bring for the workout please do. We will have three weight vests there if anyone wants them.
Individual "Murph" is the runs but only 100PLUs, 200PUs and 300SQs. we can scale this by 3/4 or 1/2.
Love it. Can I call dibs on a vest?
Sounds good – might as well try and do my first Hero Wod.
You got Tyler! I will also bring the belts I had for the weighted PLU's. Not exactly stylish but we can strap weights to people with them.
If anyone needs a little inspiration read the Washington Post Article about the day that "Murph" was killed as told by the lone survivor of his team.

I'll take a vest as well if there's one available. How long do we have to finish Murph?
As long as it takes!
I'll need it Kelly. It's not the PLU or squats that worry me, it's the push ups.
Well, as my wife says from the other room, "man the hell up."
I didn't say that. I think I said something about being nice to his hamstring and being careful.
Have fun today, everyone!
This was my inaugral CFR workout. Oh the memories. Lying under the park bench completely drained of energy. But, I'm happy to meet Team Murphie again!
Well Done! Results are in!

Yeah, see I came with the intention of a nice team WOD.
THEN I get talked into Murph.
THEN I find out that you have to wear a vest for the whole thing, not just the runs.
Ouch.
Very fitting choice for today.
As some of you may know, it is on June 6th every year when we commemorate the Allied invasion of Normandy which started early in the morning on June 6th, 1944. More commonly known as D-Day, today we not only commemorate what most feel was the beginning of the end of the Second World War, we also honor all of the fallen soldiers of that campaign.
So, like I said, it is appropriate that we did "Murphy" today. By honoring one fallen soldier, I feel we honor them all. Thanks to everyone who came out.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Great job Jared! I know the feeling of Murph as the first workout! I hope you are doing well!!
Jared is fine. we found him curlled up in one of the bathrooms. When he was feeling better I drove him home.
I really want a nap.
looks like it was a wicked workout! wish i hadn't been working – good job guys!
